Dr. Yuen has over 20 years’ experience in post-secondary student mental health as an administrator, manager, program evaluator, and clinical psychologist. She oversees a team of psychologists, social workers and psychotherapists, who are part of a larger interdisciplinary team consisting of primary care and mental health professionals. Sandra is actively involved in program development of clinical services, including a mental health stepped care model, group therapy and workshop services, embedded counselling services, and the clinical psychology residency program. Sandra oversees program evaluation of mental health, primary care, and health promotion. Sandra's clinical interests are in the provision of Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy for depression and anxiety disorders. She is particularly interested in interpersonal process, attachment, and metacognitive aspects of cognitive therapy. She has a private practice and enjoys teaching and supervising clinical psychology and psychiatry residents.

Common drivers, approaches and practices related to the development, implementation and evaluation of Campus Mental Health Strategies will be highlighted. The presentation concludes with evidence-informed tips and recommendations for future directions.

This guide is intended for health and mental health clinicians, healthcare administrators, and other stakeholders considering transitioning their services from more traditional models of in-person care in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic.

This interactive session provided participants with a brief overview of assessment and evaluation trends in campus mental health. Panelists provided highlights of clinical and program evaluation outcomes (Sandra Yuen, University of Toronto), climate studies (Lina Di Genova, McGill University) and data from the University of Calgary’s campus-wide mental health strategy framework (Andrew Szeto). Participants were invited to engage in an assessment exercise to guide the Best Practices Network’s next steps!
