This year’s theme is Integrate, Facilitate, Elevate: Skills for Now and the Future. Attendees will be exposed to a range of topics including how to incorporate different perspectives into evaluation practices, as well as impactful leadership skills. Truth & Reconciliation for Evaluators

  Date: April 18, 2024 Time: 3:00 – 4:00pm (ET) Location: Online The Canadian Evaluation Society e-Institute course: Truth & Reconciliation for Evaluators, is open to registrants for its spring cohort. Created in partnership with Hotıì ts’eeda, this course highlights the history of the Canadian Indian residential school system and its impacts on Indigenous populations. This course presents evaluation as an avenue for healing and progress. The course consists of self-directed learning materials and two online sessions, facilitated by Indigenous evaluators Dr. Kim van der Woerd and Sofia Vitalis from Reciprocal Consulting. This course is offered four times per year;

Summer Institute in Program Evaluation – 2024

  Date: June 3-7, 2024 Time: 8:30am – 4:30pm CST Location: Online Canadian Evaluation Society – Manitoba Chapter is hosting a Summer Institute in Program Evaluation. The Institute is an opportunity for community-based practitioners and university students in northern and rural areas of Manitoba to come together and learn about program evaluation. The Institute will incorporate lectures, case studies and group work in exploring participatory evaluation with a focus on both Western and Indigenous approaches to evaluation.
