Recognizing the critical role of faculty and instructors in the wellbeing of students, the Thriving in the Classroom Toolkit is a resource to support post-secondary educators in promoting student resilience in virtual or in-person classrooms. Informed by current research, the toolkit outlines:
- The four types of resilience
- Resources that can be easily embedded into curriculums
- Resources for educators to design and employ resilience-promoting pedagogical approaches
- Links to research on student resilience for further reading
Funded by the eCampus Ontario’s Virtual Learning Strategy, a diverse team of faculty, learning experts, mental health professionals, and community partners at Centennial College, Humber College, Sheridan College, Trent University, The University of Toronto – OISE, Western University – Ivey School of Business, Toronto Metropolitan University, and the Centre for Innovation in Campus Mental Health, contributed to the development of this toolkit.
