Dr. Jennifer Thannhauser is a Registered Psychologist (AB) and the Academic Director, Mental Health & Well-being, Office of Institutional Commitments. Dr. Thannhauser is also the Evaluation & Research Lead for the Community Mental Health & Well-being Strategy (CMHWS) and team lead for UCalgary’s new post-secondary mental health and well-being research and knowledge hub, and an Adjunct Associate Professfor in the Werklund School of Education. Jennifer’s research and clinical work have focused on enhancing post-secondary students’ mental health, with particular attention on resilience in the post-secondary context. She has held multiple tri-council grants to advance understanding of resilience in the post-secondary context, including a CIHR-SPOR grant to revise and evaluate UCalgary’s Roots of Resiliency program. She is currently leading a national multi-disciplinary research team in a SSHRC-funded project exploring students’ perceptions of resilience.
