Post-Secondary Student Mental Health Research Training Series

Created by INLIGHT: Student Mental Health Research, and co-designed with students, staff, and researchers, this training series outlines how to engage students in post-secondary student mental health research. The series consists of two modules:

Module 1: All About Post-Secondary Student Mental Health Research

This module provides an overview of the knowledge and theories involved in the creation and management of mental health research within the post-secondary environment. The module delves into various roles students can adopt within mental health research, such as co-investigators, advisors, and participants.

Module 2: Student Engagement in Mental Health Research

This module describes how to engage students in all aspects of post-secondary student mental health research. Post-secondary faculty, staff and researchers are encouraged to partner with students as “lived-experience experts,” as engaging students within all aspects of research can lead to improved research outcomes.

The modules are free and participants will receive a certificate after completion. Each module takes 20-30 minutes to complete.
