Thriving on Campus

Thriving on Campus is a multi-phase study exploring the experiences, strengths, wellbeing, and academic development of diverse 2SLGTBQ+ university students in Ontario. Thrive on Campus aims to generate a better understanding of how the campus climate impacts 2SLGBTQ+ students and to gain better insights into the factors that foster resilience. Research findings will help inform services and policies to better support 2SLGBTQ+ students.

The project will take place in four phases:

  1. A scan of the LGBTQ2S+ policies, resources, and services available at Ontario universities
  2. A province-wide online survey conducted with LGBTQ2S+ students
  3. Follow-up interviews with LGBTQ2S+ students
  4. Regional and provincial webinars to share the findings with community and university stakeholders

Thriving on Campus has published five reports as part of phases 1 and 2:
