Unlocking the Power of Data is a webinar series created by The Excellence through Quality Improvement Project (E-QIP). The series is designed to “E-QIP” participants with skills in data collection, management, analysis, and quality. Designed for community Mental Health and Addiction (MHA) service providers, this series is structured to take you from the basics of data literacy to advanced methodologies, ensuring you are prepared to harness data effectively to improve service outcomes. The series covers fundamental data concepts, including collection, management, analysis, and analytics, as well as the importance of data literacy, fostering a data-driven culture, and maintaining data quality.
The first session in the series provides participants with an overview of data literacy and features a real-world example of how data can be used to enhance service delivery.
The second session delves deeper into Data Management, emphasizing data collection to enhance and expand their data literacy skills. Participants will also learn about the practical implementation of measurement-based care in clinical decision-making.
In the third session of the series, participants will gain insights into the intricacies of creating reports using Community Business Intelligence (CBI) data within community Mental Health and Addiction (MHA). They will enhance their confidence in utilizing data to improve the planning and delivery of MHA services, in addition to hearing firsthand accounts from two organizations about their experiences and insights on using CBI data effectively.
In the fourth session, participants will uncover the benefits of regularly analyzing and monitoring key performance metrics. They will understand the essential role that subject matter experts play in effective performance evaluation and learn strategies for reviewing and interpreting performance metrics.
