This presentation consists of five Canadian Institutes for Health Research- Strategy for Patient Oriented Research (CIHR-SPOR) research teams presenting on how to build capacity and promote student mental health. This presentations provides insight into how to include students and partners as active participants in the research process in a range of relevant and innovative studies on new approaches to campus mental health. The projects include enhancing service delivery through stepped care, the use of student-informed data and evaluation of strategies to develop resilience and support academic outcomes.

Re-centring the stepped care model on the patient, supported by a diverse, multidisciplinary team. This involves moving the model to an online platform that allows patients and clinicians to access information at anytime. The project addresses the needs of a variety of patient advocacy groups and policy-makers, reducing barriers to access, including wait times and service fragmentation.
