This webinar hosted by the Centre for Innovation in Campus Mental Health (CICMH) and will provide an overview of More Feet on the Ground, an online training tool on how to Recognize, Respond and Refer students experiencing mental health issues on-campus. This online training tool seeks to address the gap in mental health and addictions training, specific to the needs of post-secondary students.
This webinar will focus on how to navigate this tool and will explore the 4 R’s:
1. Recognize indicators of mental health challenges
2. Respond in a way that is appropriate to the indicators that are present and the relationship you have with the student
3. Refer to the appropriate resources if needed, so that student can access the services available to them
4. Reflect on the experience and practice self-care.
