Webinar: Cultivating Resilience and Flourishing – 3Rs for Burnout Prevention and Well-being
Event Description
Recent Canadian data shows that 44% of working Canadians feel constantly stressed, and 1 in 4 families are severely stressed. This seminar hosted by Healthy Campus Alberta will present practical, evidence-based strategies (the 3Rs) to mitigate the harmful effects of stress and burnout and enhance well-being in daily life. The 3Rs are based on over 20 years of evidence from Suzanne Tough, PhD, and other leaders in resilience research. These strategies empower individuals, families, and communities to build resilience through meaningful connections, daily routines, and local community-based resources, creating a foundation for flourishing. This seminar will introduce the brain science of stress, resilience and flourishing, and the underlying physiological and psychological mechanisms for each 3R strategy. Attendees will have the opportunity to consider how to incorporate these strategies into their daily lives through group work and thought exercises.
