Terri Peterson
Terri Peterson, MSW(SK), RSW(SK), has over twenty years of direct practice experience providing counselling services to individuals, couples, families, groups, and communities. Terri began her work delivering mental health services with the Saskatchewan Health Authority and has been part of many interdisciplinary team initiatives and community partnerships since that time. She has had the privilege of working with many diverse and courageous service users and has presented her learning and research on a variety of topics focusing on empowerment and collaboration. It has been her honour to serve, learn from, and work in partnership with Indigenous organizations and communities for much of her career.
Terri has trained in many modalities and utilizes an eclectic framework emphasizing connection, liberation, somatic experiencing, trauma resolution, mindfulness, and the arts. Terri has served her community in a variety of roles including mental health promotion and outreach, group facilitation, community development, expressive arts, family work, clinical supervision, consultation, training and education. Terri is currently a counsellor, a lecturer for the University of Regina’s Faculty of Social Work, and the Clinical Counselling Leader within the USask’s Student Wellness Centre, where she is grateful to teach, lead and work beside knowledgeable and passionate health providers and students.
