Indigenous Harm Reduction

Indigenous harm reduction involves addressing the impacts of colonialism for First Nations, Métis, and Inuit populations. This approach requires a decolonized and Indigenized harm reduction strategy that fosters reconnection to culture and tradition, and restores relationships with the spiritual, human, and natural worlds.

The First Nations Health Authority has resources on Indigenous Harm Reduction, including a video series on resisting stigma and connecting to culture.
